The nose bra is a definite must in the winter here, but I also only drive my car in the summer and find it really usefull on long trips to keep highway grime and bugs off the front end. It's much easier to clean bugs off the nose bra than off the paint. > >I had a nose bra for a previous car which fit somewhat loosely, at least >at speed. The Perfect Fit nose bra fits so well there is rarely a need to take it off and clean it. However, the edges of the bra on the fender do collect some dirt if your driving in winter and you'll have to remove and clean it more often (small price to pay compared to a paint job). When the gravel is off the roads here in late spring, I'll drive without the nose bra in town, and will make sure it's clean before I put it back on for a highway drive. Description: The piece that covers the hood fits over the front up to the top of the headlight covers. It is held snug by three bungee type cords that hold loops on the underside taught when they hook to the hood structure. It comes off easily at the car wash and should be kept clean because although it fits snuggly, it will hold a little grime at the upper edge. I have never had any discoloration or paint wear because of it, but like everything else you must take car of it. The headlight covers are a great little pocket design that wrap completely around the top cover with sturdy flaps to tuck in around the headlight bulb. The large part of the nose bra that covers the rest, has clear plastic covers for the daytime running lights and cutouts for the side marker/signal lights. It is held in place with fabric covered metal tabs and three snaps on each fender well that attach to tab inserts, making removal a snap (sorry, had to pun). There is no bug screen for the radiator opening but it fits well around the mouth showing off that great feature of the Miata. Perfect Fit is the manufacuturer not the retailer so I hope I don't get in trouble for posting their phone numbers, because Mazda Canada is their current retailer for the Mazda nose bras. Perfect Fit makes all the nose bras for Saturn and I think just recently landed a contract with GM. >========================================================================== > >On Fri, 26 Apr 1996, Sean Archer wrote: > >> Date: Fri, 26 Apr 1996 00:01:10 -0400 >> From: Sean Archer>> To: Multiple recipients of list >> Subject: Re: Two questions from a new owner. >> >> At 10:29 PM 4/24/96 -0400, you wrote: >> >> >> > >> >IMHO the Mazda bra does more harm than good.
