Subject: Miata to succeed RX-7?

The April auto issue of Consumer Reports seems to imply (or assume) that 
there is a 1996 version of the RX-7.  We had heard earlier that there 
would not be a '96, because of the low volume and the impracticality of 
adding the required new computer diagnostics.
1.  Is there a U.S. spec 1996 RX-7?
2.  Is the 1997 Miata slated to succeed the RX-7?  (The Canadian '97, 
accurately reported on in this forum, seems to move in that direction.

3.  Any rumors about a small rotary in a future Miata?
4.  Before you discount the veracity of our Canadian friends, check out 
the New York Auto Show coming up in about a week!
