No, when the lights are on, because the smaller lenses sit a bit lower and 
further back in the car, they have some light reflecting off the backside 
of the nose.  This, in turn, reflects off the inside of the headlight cover,
and the hole in the duct lets the light forward.  Looks kinda neat.
