The club magazine has warned against fuel injection cleaners being put in the gas tank due to the likely chance of the chemical cleaner removing varnish from the tank and lines, and running the particles through your injection system. That to me sounds like a bad thing. The safe way to clean the injectors is to run the car on the can of cleaner directly, and few people have the necessary hardware to do this themselves.
