I'm unsure about the US models, but the unit that makes that abusive buzz is
located under the dash on the drivers side just above the clutch.  All I did
is open the door with the ignition on and disconnect the connectors until
the noise stopped.  It didn't effect any other electrical operations so I
assumed I got the right one.  I am now buzzless, I am without buzz, I am
free from the torment of buzz and loving every minute of it.
