I have not posted in awhile, so here is an update: We've been back to Corky's for a few new items: (1) 2 brackets developed cracks and were replaced. The main bracket holding the S/C to the block was cracked by over-torquing the bolts. A beefier bracket was put on in its place. The small bracket that holds the air cleaner and mass air sensor assembly on also broke. this bracket was flexing and causing the assembly to bump against the fender top (inside the car) during hard braking, and hard right hand turns. A new bracket was developed that solved this problem. (2) Air-fuel mixture. We are still working on getting the "sweet-spot" dialed in. Corky has recieved his "Arriba" fuel-air ratiometer in, and is 'getting the hang' of how the thing works on several cars. I hope to have mine in the shop later this week, or early next week for diagnosis. Power seems ok throughout the boost range, EXCEPT a slight 'bog' at 2-3lbs Seat-o-Pants-meter can't determine if it's too rich or lean.. (3) Timing. I'm running stock timing now, meaning that the MSD is retarding WAY to much at full boost. I can REALLY feel this too. Timing will be advanced to 14 deg. when we go back for the final air-fuel tuning. I think we are "right at the brink" of getting the setup 100% correct. It's been a long process, but WELL worth the effort. Greg Bassett & SALSA Sr. Systems Admin/Alpha Geek Team BEGI Autorotor Team VooDoo
