When I switch from dino to Amsoil, I usually put about 1/2 qt. of Amsoil in 
just before your oil change and run it for 100 miles or so.  Then drain, 
change filter and refill with the Amsoil.  Should work for whatever synth. you 
use.  I find that this helps loosen deposits and hold them in suspension until 
it is drained.
