I also had a crap experience with Jiffy Lube although not with a Miata.
Took my Daytona in for the full service deal.  No problems until 2 days
later.  I was driving home in the late evening towards the sun when I
suddenly noticed thousands of scratches all over my windshield.  I
immediately pulled over and checked the other windows...same thing!  Some
idiot must have used sandpaper to wash my windows at JiffyLube!!  The
scratches were small enough to be unnoticable during the day but really stood
out as the sun began setting.  Of course, the JiffyLube people said I
couldn't prove that they did this.  
I still use quicklube places, but demand that they DO NOT wash the windows!
