On a local newsgroup (um.network) there was a post that a Bell Atlantic T3
connection went down in Baltimore yesterday. This outage affected internet
access to JHU. Supposedly a 'redundant' T1 connection was activated to ease
problems caused by the outage. So...if it's redundant doesn't that mean it 
should already be online? On a similar note, it seems that numerous minor
outages have been caused by Bell Atlantic lately in the U of MD service area...
