For me, *THIS* is insane! As many computer conferences and exhibitions I've been to, I understand the $230 registration fee for those to get in and participate in a few extra events (keynote speakers, lunches, freebies, whatever). However, there is always a gate provision fee of +/- $10 (or nothing at all) to let the casual passerby come in and see the vendors. Why the hell would I pay $230 to get in and save a few $$ at the vendor booths? While I lived in Houston, I considered driving to Atlanta to meet some of the net folk and to see a few vendors in action (Bill Cardell? Keith Tanner? The Jackson Racing crew? Andy Cork?) and to see a few things before I spent my MSUs on them. Why would I spend $230 just to do this? I'm sure they're nice folks, but if all the time I have to spend there is one afternoon to paruse the vendor midway, that cost is too high. What about the other "non-Miata" public who may be interested in our cars? Do they also have to spend $230 to "Take a Peek?" Mr. Opalak, please correct me if this information is not correct, I simply can't believe there is not a way to gain access to the vendor platform without buying the full registration... kjw & TIC-TAC
