Ahem,

With all due respect, Bill, there are a number of failures related to
exactly that. Remember, not all engines stay in the engine bay. Some get
pulled now and then, making an air wrench a tempting way to R&R the front
crank bolt.

I have personally held the sad broken bits in my hand of just such a case...
