Hey Everyone, After reading the note in Miata Mag, I called my conection at Red Line. Who after a long discussion. Came to the conclusion that 75W90 NS MAY cause degradation of the brass syncro rings. This is due to the additive they have to put in the oil to bring up the non-shear/slip property. 75W90NS is also a GL-5 grade oil which is overkill for the Miata As always I stand by MTL or MT-90 for the Miata. Pat McCartin Brain-Storm Products P.S. Norman Garrett and Miata Magazine are aware of the problem, and are conducting there own research to update the info.
