Thanks for all of the help! I'm sure that one of these solutions will have me in a Miata in no time! These are in no particular order, but I think I'm going to try #1 first. 1) 2 people have had their pedals moved forward about 1 - 2 inches. They said that any good racing shop could do this, and that there haven't been any problems with the modification. 2) Cutting some foam out of the seats. This seems to be the most common solution. 3) Removing the seat tracks and bolting the seat to the floor. 4) Buying a racing seat - these seats are usually several inches shorter and thinner front to back. Possible problems: be sure the seat fits! The Miata's opening is fairly small. A concern: Racing seats usually don't have much of a suspension (thus, they are lower) so they may ride pretty rough. 5) Replacing the steering wheel. Flat bottom steering wheel with 40 mm hub spacer was recommended, or a smaller diameter Momo. Kevin Kirn a-kevink@microsoft.com
