Yesterday I mentioned my zipper was toast. The cheapest estimate was $250 (US) to remove the top and put a new zipper in. I wanted a cheaper solution that would keep the rain out and last until I have the time and money to put a new top on. I thought about it a while and decided to add some snap fasteners to the top. I had 4 nice ones put in along the top of the back window for under $20. (In retrospect, that was probably a lot, but considering the alternative, it sounded cheap at the time) They hold the rear window in place well, are probably easier to release than the zipper. They are a bit harder to fasten however. The tops are black and show on the outside of the top. They are almost invisible from over ten feet away, but I'm thinking about having a couple more added on each side of the window just for looks. I'll probably add a couple pieces of velcro to get a tighter seal. It isn't the best solution, but the top is just there to keep the rain out right? Brian Dore' Lafayette, LA
