Jeanne, you think the complaints about the MCA vis-a-vis business or club
are bad, the AARP is worse! A few years ago, the AARP got a new "benefit"
passed by Congress. The only problem was that it would have bankrupted the
average AARP member! The big grassroots uprising soon had the "benefit"
repealed, and a drastic membership drop for AARP (my parents dropped their
membership, which is why I know about it.) However, I never heard that the
AARP "officers" and consultants lost anything financially, like the members
did. AARP is a MAJOR BUSINESS.
