Some interesting notes about overheating I experienced this weekend.

I was pulling my Sea Doo watercraft through the Palm Springs area 
(800 pounds?), approximate temperature was at least 110 degrees.

Going up the grade, the temp guage began to climb to about 4/5 of the 
way.  The car stayed cooler with the air conditioning on.  Also, at 
65 mph, it would run cooler in 4th gear than fifth.

FWIW the car is 2.5 years old and has the original coolant.  I'm 
planning on changing the coolant this week.  For California what 
would be the optimum summer mix of Anti-freeze to water?
