Item Subject: cc:Mail Text Thanks, Phredd, for asking your friend about the difference between Meguiar's Mist 'n Wipe and Final Inspection. I have a half-bottle of each in my trunk (one was a freebie at GGG) and don't pay attention to which one I grab. Now I won't be concerned about it any more! When the terry towels won't work on the tar, I use the pantyhose trick and maybe a little baking soda (or Bon Ami in extreme cases, but I re-wax afterward). Bug-Out works OK but makes me nervous, so I use it on the Nissan. Aren't those OTM's great guinea pigs for trying out products before using them on our precious Miatae?! By far the best tar prevention measure is a set of mud guards, however. It's amazing how much less scrubbing there is to do on the below-the-equator part of the doors and the lower part of the rear bumper, and IMO they look great, especially on the lighter-coloured cars (white, red, mariner blue, silver, and yellow). Baking soda-and-water paste is perfect for black heel marks on door sills and kitchen floors, too!
