From: Ron Van Vliet Subject: Ride height puzzle replies - summary Date: Thu, 1 Aug 1996 21:52:49 -0400
Well, I got several replies on this one. The data leads me to conclude that: 1) There is indeed considerable variance in rear ride height in all years of Miatas, unrelated to either shocks or springs. (Those with level cars -- I hate you). ;^) 2) To "fix" the uneven ride height mentioned above, either purchase a set of Koni's (high perch in front -- low perch in back), or cut a coil from the rear springs (with accompanying increase in spring rate). Or -- learn to live with the slightly rakish look. 3) No one seems to know _why_ there is such a variance in Miatas from the factory. Since no one was able to tell me why , I won't be sending any cyber-beers (glad I didn't have to try to figure that one out). Thanks to all who replied :-). -- Regards, Ron Van Vliet "There are 3 kinds of people: those who can count & those who can't"
