 I'd check where the connector on the back of the headlight retractor 
switch. (The one by your flasher switch in the center console.)

 I forgot to reconnect this plug one time on my '92 when I was 
installing the radio, and while the lights went up the first time I 
turned them on, they never came back down. You may just have a loose 
connection there.
