In a message dated 96-07-31 10:10:07 EDT, you write: > Since you already switched retractor relays and it didn't fix the problem, > I suggest that you check for voltage on the red/blue wire coming to the > retractor switch. If it is there but not on the red/green wire, then you > probably have a bad switch. > Dennis, Thanks for the suggestions. I'm confused, though, as to how my wash switch would just "die" like that. I'm no electrics expert, so I really wouldn't know -- CAN this kind of thing happen? And, would a bad switch cause the lights to stop going down under normal operation with the headlights on/off switch on the turn signal stalk? What does the wiring diagram? To answer some other people's questions, the chance that the switch is simply unplugged is nil. I have already taken the center console apart to make sure that the switch is plugged in, and it is *definately* plugged in. My hazard lights work, so would that suggest that the problem is -not- the wash switch? Or, are they unrelated? I should never have given the car an Italian name.....
