I worried about this before I bought mine.  However, it occurred to me
that the only people that would say a Miata is a Girly car are
testosterone challenged, high-school-dropout-weenie-stoners (apologies to
any high-school-dropout-weenie-stoners out there ;-)) driving pumped up
Camaros or '72 Chevy trucks with bumper stickers that say "Guns don't kill
people, I do!" (look up "red-neck" or "Bubba" in the slang dictionary). 
These people are usually extraordinarily homophobic, which is usually an
expression of their own insecurity in their manhood. They must belittle
others to make themselves feel more macho. Do we really care what those
cretins think?  Everyone else on the road envies us when we zip past them
on a beautiful day with the top down. (As well they should)

Besides, we've all heard that the size of a man's car is inversely
proportional to his, well, uhh, how to put the delicately...?  I've never 
driven anything larger than a Miata, so I guess it must be true :-). 

Anyway, I did an informal survey for about a month before I bought 
mine by counting the number of female Miata drivers I saw to the number 
of male Miata drivers.  I saw more men driving Miatas than women.
