I think black stripes would be a bit too strong. Another color option would be silver or red. Of course the Shelby blue stripes are classic and you won't have to worry about dating the car's appearance, (like black w/ gold = early '80s). That brings me to something thats been bugging me, who at Mazda thought it would be cool to put GOLD on a Miata?!!! BARF! I wouldn't think it would sell very well, most pimps and Vegas lounge singers go for Cadilacs or Lincolns. See, all those years of graphic design and color theory classes weren't for nothin' Hope this helps, and to those of you who got the gold trim, I don't want a flame war, but, snicker snicker.
