The story was that their W125 or something was a few kilograms OVERweight, so they stripped off the German racing white paint and brought the car back to the scales in naked silver, just sneaking under the weight limit. Thereafter, they always raced in silver, but white *was* the official German colour. I think the American racing colours were white *with* blue, thus all the Cunninghams, etc of the fifties with the blue stripes on the white cars. Now, does anyone know what the Canadian racing colours are?!! (I bet we don't have any) (Then again, maybe it is whatever colour a Villeneuve is driving that day!)
