Rebecca, Did you notice where the water was coming in: ie., was it dripping from directly above your foot or did you notice that the door area was wet? The most common problem with water coming into the compartment is that the door drain is blocked. One post, many moons ago, said that he took a plastic tube (aquarium air tubing), lubricted it and slid it down the track above the door. This kept the passage way open and he had no water problem afterwards. The other problem has been the airconditioning drain tube blocking up but that causes water problems on the passenger side. Is it possible that your top is not closing tight enough allowing water to enter that way? That is adjustable at the locking brackets. I would use a hose and start around the door openings and check for leaks. If none are found hose around the top latching area. I haven't heard of any water leaks from under the dash area...but anything is possible. Please post your results...
