DeLoris, That spot just to the left of your glove box is the location of the passenger side courtesy light on pre-1996 Miatas. In '96, Mazda went to a attached-to-the-windshield rearview mirror which freed up the former attach point for a "dome" light. Adding the dome light eliminated the passenger side "under-dash" light. (I guess Mazda needed to save the money.) Then Mazda chose to cover the spot with a cheesy looking blank plate. I wonder if the '97 will be the same? Hopefully, by 1998 the big "redesign" will have eliminated it. Written in response to: >Oh, one more question.
