Item Subject: cc:Mail Text Robert, many Miatas have this problem. There is a fix in the Spring (?) issue of Miata Mag, or you can look in the archives. Sam Sharp (thanks, Sam!) helped me fix Wendy's radio at Gold Rush in September, and it hasn't had a problem starting in the morning since! (Of course, *I'm* sometimes another story....) Basically, you take the center console out, then take the air vents out and take off the console around the radio, then take the radio out, then cut and bend a paper clip to the right size and shape (think staple) so the ends fit into the 5 and 11 holes in the little black plug on the back of the radio, then put everything back together again. I don't know if it's the "jumping" between the pins that works, or just that the clip plugs up the holes, thereby preventing humidity, but I can say it works! I live in the Santa Cruz Mountains, where the banana slugs grow, so about humidity I know whereof I type. Jeannie Hobbs Boulder Creek, CA Radio lights first time, every time P.S. It's "weird," not "wierd." Whack! (But not too hard--you've gotta use your fingers to fix that radio.) \014 ==============================================================================
