The following acts were performed by a trained profesional on a public street. Do not try this in your town with your car. >Remember; Life's a journey...Enjoy the ride! So Scott, can I add my go fast-returning-home-late-Monday story? Class got out late Monday night (10:00 pm). We had a presentation from a Family Practice lawyer who really gave use the lo down. I was tired but somewhat jacked from class. Crusing about 70 mph with the top down, things were winding down when a CRX-SI screams past. Now this CRX was lowered, had big rims, and an obnoxious tail pipe sound. I gave him a few car lengths, then floored it. He was still in the 3rd lane when I caught him. Did he move as I flashed to pass? Heck no. So, I drafted him for a few and passed him on the left. The chase was ooonn! I let up a little, and as he drew up to my left, I heard the most ridiculous sound. Not only was his car bottoming out (saw flashing of the sparks) but on occasion his revs went up as he slowed down. I guess he was popping his clutch trying for more power? Then, he down shifted as a last gasp effort to pass. That didn't go over well with the Honda motor at all as I heard the rev. limiter kick in almost as soon as he attempted this moronic manuver. By this time an indicated 115 was showing on my speedo. I was laughing hysterically! My off-ramp was very fast approaching, so I quickly got out of the gas and made my turn off. What a way to end a very long day. Smiles for miles as I walked in the door and popped a beer. -------------------------------------------------------------------- Eric Schwarzentraub '91 Silverstone Racing Beat stuff American Racing rims Bridgestone Potenza RE930 CRI Air Horns MCA and BAMA \014 ==============================================================================
