My $.02: 1928 Franklin Boat-tail roadster, body by Merrimac - High cowl, low-cut doors, a rear end that looks like the prow of a boat and a rumble seat. Paint it white with black fenders with a red leather interior and it's beautiful. Even more so since most Franklin's were plain. Oh yeah, it's air-cooled to boot. Did I mention that I have one in the garage? :-) 1955-57 Ford Thunderbird - Don't know what it is about the "baby birds" but they just work. Even 30 years later Ford hasn't produced anything as good looking as this. Just imagine what would have happened if they'd kept it in production... Yep, got one of these (a '56) too. :-D '90-'96 Mazda Miata - Yes, I really think the Miata is one of the 5 most beautiful cars. Not just for it's looks (which are classic) but even more so for all the fun times it represents. As you know I have two of these :-) :-). '69-'73 Lamborghini Muira - Had a Muira corgi model when I was a kid. Even then I recognized that it was something special. Makes the Diablo look like a door stop. God what I wouldn't do for one of these! (no I don't have one) '55 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing - Totally audacious for it's time. An impressive street or race car with a canted- over 6 cyl engine and those beautiful gullwing doors. My dad used to have a red one with a red leather interior. What a great car to be picked up with after a Jr High football game, sure caught the attention of the cheerleaders! Unfortunately my dad sold it two weeks before I got my driving permit. Perhaps he had a premonition? Anyway, that's my list... --- ___ __ ___ Alan Dahl | alan.dahl@attws.com /_ / / / Analysts International Co. | (NeXTMail OK) -or- / / _/_ /___ 10655 N.E. 4th St. Suite 804 | adahl@eskimo.com Bellevue, WA 98004 | PH: (206) 702-5231 http://www.eskimo.com/~adahl | FAX: (206) 702-5452 \014 ==============================================================================
