 In 1994 I spent the entire year out of the USA and had my '92 miata

up on jack stands. The battery was disconnected but still in the 

trunk. I assumed I would purchase a new battery when I returned.



   Upon return a year later I connected it and it started the car

without getting a charge or any other attention. I was both surprised

and pleased.
