I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but the new 993 style

911 is by far one of the most *beautiful* cars in the world, in my opinion.

Especially in the grey; it looks as though it's sculpted from a solid chunk

of metal.  Forceful, flowing lines, fender flares bulging to contain

massive tires, brake rotors peering out from behind some of the best

looking wheels I've ever seen (at least on the Turbo and Carrera 4S

models).  The 911 is a work of art IMHO.



And uh, it hasn't changed since it was brought on the market?  Like the

Miata?  :)  In my opinion, that's a good thing; the car has classic,

timeless style, and doesn't have to rely on gimicks to attract new sales.

Yeah, 400 horsepower from a twin-turbocharged 3.6 liter is pretty lame.

4.4 seconds to 60 would probably feel pretty slow after driving a Miata.

Don't get me wrong; I love the Miata and the way it handles.  But compared

to a 911?  The 911 has always been a car that rewards the skilled driver;

if I could afford one, I'd certainly take the time and effort to learn how

to properly handle the car.

If I had the money for a 911 it would be sitting in my driveway.  Actually,

I'd probably be driving it...



James, who still loves the Miata, but whose goal is to someday own a 993

style 911....
