Hi,



There was a thread not too long ago regarding folding chairs which would

fit in the trunk of our Miatas.



Think I saw mention of one which folded to some reasonable size mentioned

by a member, but the price was rather high I thought - like $45.00.  Add

tax to that, and you're near $50.00.



I just flipped to QVC (yes, the home shopping TV thingie) to see about

getting some Christmas stuff sent to some friends in California, and what

do I see there?  Something that looks PERFECT for our Miatas!



It's called What-a-Chair, is made of tubular steel and reinforced nylon

which hoses off and is coated with PVC, with leather grommets, etc.  It

has a weight limit of 500 lbs.  They showed like four people piled up on

one.  It's light weight, folds into a tubular nylon sack thing, with even

shoulder strap for easy carrying.  It's lightweight, and is purported to

be very comfortable as well!



This is being offered at the introductory (supposedly) price of 25.00,

with like 5.00 shipping and handling (approximate numbers) plus your

state's sales tax.  My total on my charge will be $33.10.  It comes in

multiple colors including black, royal blue, red, yellow (you '92s),

hunter green, and don't remember if any others.  Point is - it looks IDEAL

for our purposes.  The chair itself is 29" high so it's probably like 30"

tall and maybe only 6" diameter folded?  They said they packed something

like 28 of them into the trunk of some sub compact car - looks perfect!

A Neon I think they used.

Even if you're not a "member" you can give them a few bits of info and

become one instantly (I did).  If you order more than one sent to the same

address (I only ordered one), you can get additional ones for 1/2 of the

quoted shipping price, so will save money that way.
