} Today I drove a 92 and a 94, both Canadian base models.  The 92 was my

} preference this time, except that it made a strange whining noise.  This

} noise was not comming from the engine, although it was RPM dependent.  That

} is, in each gear, as you accelerate, the whine changes in pitch as you run

} up the RPM's.   The sound is most like the sound you get when accelerating

} in reverse... a "square cut gear" kind of whine.  The whine also only occurs

} during acceleration.. if you back of the throttle, it immediately stops.



Low transmission oil, maybe?
