Not taking anything away from the Boxer, I think it's the best of the three

contenders, however the Miata stands alone in its raw simplicity.  No power

tops. No overly complex transmissions.  No forced mid-engine/convertible

design that necessitates access from the bottom.  All attempts to enter the

recent roadster market have compensated with engineering and design bordering

on boutique.  I'll keep my Miata.
