Actually, we recently bought a '96 Ranger, and yes the switch is there. I remember it also being on the Mazda trucks when we were shopping. However, since Mazda's trucks are actually made by Ford, there is no reason to expect that Mazda uses the same wiring logic in Miatas. Then again, there is no reason not too...
