Hello: I finally got enough time in one place to install my Clearwater Headrest speakers this weekend. Total time for install for me was about 3 hours and change. A little longer than their 2 hour estimate. My 92A has never had HR speakers so I had to do the "long" install. Clearwaters directions could not have been better. I did have two unusual things happen before finally getting to listen to the new great sound. Yes, imaging is not as great but the volume of sound especially with the top down is improved by an order of magnitude (IMHO). My problems/questions/issues: 1. Clearwater clearly tells you where to plug their harness into your oem radio. It goes in the only slot in the radio that will hold the white plug (top left if looking at the radio from the front. My problem is that my car already had a connector in that spot with many wires attached. The wires led into the wiring haress of the car. What to do? I unplugged the existing connector and listened to the radio. All seemed to still work so I forged ahead with the remainder of my install. Q: What is the existing connector for and what does it do? Clearwater's instructions didn't mention that their would be something else there or what to do it there was. My car does not have the companion oem CD player. 2. After getting done my HR speakers made no sound. I unzipped each headrest to see if I had any loose connection and upon unzipping the passenger headrest the speakers began to work. I zipped it back up and they stopped. Okay, this is weird. I examined all connections (just 4) and they looked fine. I put it all back together and zipped it and they stayed working. But, when they didn't work all 4 didn't work, not just the right headrest. Q: What could cause this? All in all a quality product. The sound in the car with the new Clearwater door replacement speakers is much improved. I would like to retract my earlier statements that I made last week on the door speakers. I guess I was still upset about the delay in delivery when I posted that the sound wasn't better. In fact I find it much improved after I cooled out my temper and got a good nights sleep. I will be keeping all of their products! Regards, Tom Vervaeke Colorado Springs, CO 92A+ Yellow \014 ==============================================================================
