 Z3. I saw the same reported earlier - it starts around 4K miles, warped

 heads, cylinders not firing. 

 

 What seems strange is this is the same engine they put in the 318 isn't

 it? I don't recall problems with it. Sounds like the users are being

 treated well at least getting their cars fixed.

Talked to a 3Z owner yesterday (Ex Miata owner :( ). He has had a rattle in

the gas tank (they ordered a gas tank then the noise went away. He does not

want the tank replaced if he can help it, a lot of stuff has to be removed),

engine light came on (he went away on business, they threw everything they

could think of to fix it. It's fixed, but they don't know how they did it),

he had his boot replaced (it wouldn't fit correctly), and he is getting his

top replaced (it is actually wearing through the fabric).

He has about 4,000 miles on it.

He says he still likes it.
