	 Monthly reminder: Internet Miata License Plate List.



This is a monthly post sent to the Miata mailing list and the

rec.autos.makers.mazda.miata newsgroup to remind Miata owners about

the Internet Miata License Plate List.



The List has gotten too long to include with this post, so I'll just

point out where the list can be found, and how you can get your car

added to it.

What is this List?

==================



The Miata License Plate List is an informal list of license plates

owned by Miata owners on the Internet. Besides the license plate

numbers, the List also contains the type of Miata the owner drives,

where they drive, the nickname for their car, their local club affiliation,

and the owner's e-mail address.



The List was originally created in the Fall of '94 when a flurry of

unique and interesting "vanity" (ie. personalized) license plates were

being posted to the Miata mailing list. Rather than having these

threads being posted over and over again, I decided to collect the

plates into one large list.



So far, the List contains 450 Miata license plates from all over the

world. Here's what a typical entry might look like...



MY MX5      John Doe, White 92 B                   CA, Los Angeles

                j.doe@yoyodyne.com, "Thumper", club: SOCALM

  

Both personalized and regular plates are welcome.

How to get your Miata added to the List

If you have additions/removals/modifications to the list, and you have

World Wide Web access, fill out the on-line entry form that's located at:

		http://www.c2.org/~jaimev/plates.html



If you don't have Web access, send e-mail to me at

            jaimev@netcom.com   or   jaime@tcville.es.hac.com



with the string  "Miata plates" in your "Subject" line and include

the following information in the body of your message:

      (1) Your license plate number ("personalized" or non-personalized - it

      (2) your real name                               doesn't matter)

      (3) your e-mail address

      (4) your city/state (or country if not in the US)

      (5) your car's color, year, & package type (example: "Red 93 B pkg")

      (6) [optional] your car's "nickname"

      (7) [optional] your local club affiliation
