From: (none) Subject: Light reminder wiring Date: (none)
Haven't scanned ALL of the digests from the long weekend, so I don't know if this has already been resolved. But here's my input: To wire the light minder, you just need to attach one wire to something that comes on when the light switch is on (this is the red wire on the one I bought), and the other wire to something that comes on when the accessory switch is on. (the white wire). On my '91, the red wire is on the tail light fuse, and the white wire is on the cigarette lighter fuse. I doubt that the lite minder device has changed in 3-4 years, so it's the Miata wiring that's causing the confusion, right? But I would think you'd be able to find two fuses to use that fit the criteria: One for the lights, one for the accessory key switch. (If the cig. ligher fuse isn't available, perhaps the radio or power window switch?) Hope this helps. And if it doesn't, sorry! I tried. :-} BTW- did I see MM Marketing selling this thing for $12.95? If you can find it at K-Mart, it's less than $5, and J.C. Whitney sells it for about $5-$6. -- Todd & MIATOY (still on battery number one. 5.5 years, 108k miles and still going strong) '91 Crystal White A Team MCA Team Lone Star Team PMC Team Moo Team 100k "But officer, I DO have a certain responsibility to my gear ratios!"
