Subject: Scratches left by Washing Hi everybody, I've been meaning to ask if any of you have had any problems with products used for washing your car, even though they were recommended by reliable company's such as Meguiar's. My car is black and shows every tiny defect. I bought one of Meguiar's complete washing/cleaning/polishing packages that included several good products. However I've noticed that after washing my car, I have many swirls and fine scratches that were created while washing. The only culprits could be the "spun gold" washing mit supplied with my package and the "Absorber" which is listed in their catalogue but bought seperately. In the past I avoided those synthetic washing mits because I feared that they would be too abrasive. But since Meguiar's included it in the fairly expensive cleaning package, I figured that it would be safe. I try and make sure that the mit is clean and free of particles when I use it and I try not to apply very much pressure. However the absorber by design rubs against the paint. Does any one have any comments or similar experiences? I don't subscribe to the list any more because the volume of mail was too much for my WORK email account, so could you send CCs to me at Andrew.Gee@trw.com Thanks Andrew Gee 93 Blk/Red #834 Redondo Beach, CA USA
