For those who have Tamiya's R/C Miata, I have a couple of questions:



1. I want to move to an electronic speed controller, however, I'm concerned

   about quality and space. Any suggestions? Eventually, I'd like to soup

   up the motor from stock and a co-worker suggested Tekin Rebel (yes, I

   want reversing action) and another suggested the Rooster by another

   manufacturer.



2. I spoke to someone at the local hobby shop about paint. He wanted to

   see the shell to check the type of paint to use: polycarbonate (for

   Lexan) or other paint (for plastic). Apparently, the wrong paint will

   eat through the shell and Tamiya does both. Any thoughts?



My car is 2/3rds built. I don't expect to run the car until spring so

I'm taking my time in building it (and adding hop-ups).
