First, I don't think you should be having any contact issues with the S/C and the hood - either the aluminum outlet from the S/C body or the intake cross over tube. -->It doesn't hit all the time, only when the engine moves under acceleration I am guessing. You can obviously start by seeing where you are getting underhood scoring and verify the parts which are fouling. If it is the S/C outlet then it sounds as though either the S/C is riding high or it is too far forward.I'd be surprised if the latter was the issue. -->Actually now that you mention it, the SC might be too far forward as I did slide it forward to try and get the belt to stop rubbing on the crank pulley..I will have to check both. Did you get the bracketry attached to the S/C fully settled on the manifold bolts? As a point of reference, the clearance between the S/C body and the airfilter is around 1/4" on my installation. Is yours more? -->Will have to check. On the cross over tube, I assume you have it mounted corrrectly...the only fouling I have experienced has been the hood rod which required a liberal amount of bending. -->I never put the hood rod back on since I am getting the hood lift kit from wiz instead. Do you need to push the cross over tube further into the rubber joining lugs? -->It is as far as it can go. Finally. on the belt fitment, it sounds like it is rubbing on something. On mine, I had to shorten the hose about 3/4" which runs near the two idler pulleys as it would chafe on the belt. Are you seeing something similar? -->Yea, I had to do that too so that isn't the problem, I do know the belt might be rubbing on the crank pulley itself, but that would only be the side of the belt, and this is why I moved the SC forward...if there was some way to adjust the idler pulleys so they pushed the belt down about 1/4 inch lower the belt would not hit the crank pulley...right now the belt is worn on the back, the part that contacts the idler pulleys. On the road the handling on relatively level, dry terrain has been terrific although I have upgraded shocks and springs. It won't tend to break away under hard accleration when cornering, it just "digs in". In contrast, in the wet it is easy to break the car away - even in a staight line on my Dunlops (D60s) and the stock tires were worse. I have 4,500 miles on mine without undue wear else where to my knowledge. Others have many more miles on them with the stock differential, transmission etc. I'd be surprised if you had any undue wear. -->Well, I was going to do springs/shocks next but I think my clutch is starting to wear a little and I will have to buy the JR clutch soon. Hope this helps. Let me know if I can help further. -->Thanks for the info, Matt. Regards Philip
