Years ago I owned a Toyota Corolla (please don't tell). When ever the plug wires were getting old and it rained the car rain aweful. The problem is the wires going through the valve cover. When the humidity is high and the wires are weak they would short out to the valve cover. Great random loss of spark causing a lousey running engine. When you opened the hood after dark you were treated to a wonderful light show. Great show, no engine performance!! If your wires have 20k on the them I'd suggest trying a new set. If it doesn't solve the problem you can always take them off and save them for when they are needed, they will be needed! Good luck and let us know what happens. -- Larry and The White Knight M Club Member #70 '91 Crystal White S.C.
