The cable jumps out of its holder, and catches on the plastic stop that is attached to the glass. I placed my cable back in its holder ten months ago, and all is fine, others have mentioned that theirs jumped back out almost immediately. If you use a cable tie, and attach the cable to the door frame, all will be fine. If your window slide hasn't been lubricated for some time, the force needed to wind the window increases, and it is this greater force acting on the cable inner and outer that makes it flex and jump out of the cable holder, but it is not the sticking that actually stops the window moving, it is the cable catching the window as it tries to lower... So, lubricating the sliding parts of the window may stop this happening in the future... Good luck, Fletch. '90 phRedd
