To the masses: I too have had problems when listening to the radio (not the CD or cassette) on my 96M ed. The headrest speakers on both driver and passenger sides intermitently get lower in volume for a few secs, then return to normal. As Kathy wrote, the FM reception is very poor in general so maybe it is the stereo going into mono for a few seconds. However, the problem does not seem to affect the front door speakers or tweeters (but maybe it does and I can't hear it). The reception on FM is definately less than normal, as areas that I have no trouble receiving stations in my other car, "crackle" in the Miata. These stereo problems might only affect the 96M-ed since it has an upgraded stereo (with a push-button setting for when the top is up or down (when the top is down, it puts more power to the headrest speakers)). Let me know, Gregg 96M ed
