Kathy, This has nothing to do with your problem but..... > The best way I can describe it is this: when listening to a song on the > radio, the sound will be alternately GREAT stereo from all speakers, Yep, when I'm standing still at a light..... great bass, great sound... > to something sounding sorta like a $19.95 radio. Yep, when I'm moving more than 10 miles an hour...:) The noise level in a Miata really puts a damper on music listening. Sometimes I'll forget the radio faceplate and don't even bother to go back and get it. And you know what.... I don't miss it that much. Especially with the top down. When I want to listen to a great stereo in a car, I take the other one. The one that has a real roof and rear deck speakers. Where the high and low ends of the music aren't drowned in road noise. I'm afraid the Miata wasn't designed for great sound, but it sure was designed for great driving. And no, I'm not going to try and beef it up with sub-woofers in the trunk. It's still too noisy IMHO. I'd rather listen to the exhaust notes. jk "It's only rock and roll...." jerrykwit@freewheeling.com http://www.geocities.com/~kwit
