Like you, I've never heard of, or seen a Miata with a black metallic paint.

Honda has some very subtle black metallics.  This sounds like one of those

situations where the dealer adds one of there handwritten option sheets to

mark-up the price $700 so that they can give you the "good guy" discount of $500



Sound like you would need hip waders to deal with that dealership.
