I still have my original purchase contract for our 93 black/tan SE (Canadian) dated Oct/92. As I remembered there was a $90.00 optional item listed as 'Metallic Paint'. The brochure lists the colour as Brilliant Black but makes no mention of metallic paint option. Still doesn't answer the question - is it really metallic or was it creative salemanship?
