Yes, it's true, there really is life in Minnesota despite an unusually cold

and snowy November.



The MN license fees are fresh in my mind, having just paid them.  Minnesota

has some kind of formula using the value, weight, and age of the car. 

After a few years they all bottom out at about $150 per year, but they're

obviously trying to get more when the vehicle is new.



My '96 Jeep Cherokee cost me $270 this year, and my '92 Miata cost $152.  I

haven't got a vanity plate, but I heard it's a one-time additional fee of

$100.
