From: (none) Subject: Re: power loss / oil pressure Date: (none)
possible suggestions from the list and my responses: >...plug wires new >...Main bearings :-( this would be a rare occurence in a miata. but- the car got real hot once, and it is possible that there was bearing damage that is just now showing up. I'll leave this one for last. >crank/cam seal leakage....OIL PUMP dying? no seal leaks- seals are fresh. not sure about the pump- this does make sense though. The area where the power loss is most noticable is immediately after the tightest turn on the track. I'm not sure how vulnerable the miata is to oil starvation in high G turns, but this might compound the problem of a weak oil pump. Hmmm.... thanks to those who responded, Rob Ebersol 90 silver A 91 white ssc Decatur, GA
