Hi guys, happy new year!



After a few weeks of having my Miata, I have come to the conclusion 

that 95 HP is just a wee bit lacking...I lack the oomph in the higher 

gears, especially shifting to 5th, it feels like there's not much 

power left.



In earlier postings, i was told that the 95 HP 1.6 engine was 

essentially the same as the US engine, but somehow they managed to 

strangle it in some way.  Which brings up the question:  How'd they 

do that?  And more importantly, how can I undo it?  I'm not really 

after a supercharged/turbocharged engine, I just want to bring it up 

to your standards-- 116 HP, I believe.



Any ideas?
